on auditioning homeless

Asking someone to play himself, in a otherwise fictional environment, in the movie industry at least, is usually called making a cameo appearance and primarily intended for celebs. Asking someone to stand in the back of an important event and do nothing, again in the movie industry, is called being an extra and primarily intended for common people. Asking someone to just be himself, act himself and talk himself, in the movie industry, is called doing a documentary and is intended both for celebs and common people. But we’re in theater here… not in the movie industry, we are in no industry at all, it’s just the good old theater with its stage and audience. So what what should one call this, when you ask homeless people to take part in your performance, as themselves, standing not on stage but down with/in the audience?
