Born in Zagreb, Croatia in 1967. He graduated in Philosophy and Comparative Literature at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Zagreb. He is the artistic director, author, theater-maker and choreographer of the Croatian performance group Montazstroj. In his theater work he has intensively and continuously dealt with different social, and media phenomena (football, chauvinism, contemporary transitional mythologies, and most recently, terrorism). Reactions to his performances were either very positive or negative, but certainly never in between. During this entire period he conducted a large number of workshops and guest lectures in different countries (Croatia, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Serbia, Montenegro…) He is currently an active participant of the artistic-research program DasArts — Advanced Studies in Performing Arts in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
Project “Timbuktu” is dedicated to Max, his dearest companion, and created for Katarina, my 11 year old daughter.
